i didn't think i was bashing it man, sorry if you thot so. i grew up with it. i know it inside out. i am friends with dudes in nashville and LA and around Canada who are in christian music. what i am saying is that i recognize the faultiness of what the title implies. no bashing. i work with musicians. i run an indie record label and half of them are faith-driven people, but not 'christian musicians' as the name and history of the business has implied. those are facts. but i work with some people who are made for that world, even if its not for me.
i often feel that christians are too defensive, especially when it comes to criticism from other believers. i don't want to tear down anyone's work. but we can all look at ourselves and our work with honest eyes.
i would never choose to listen to anyone based on who they say the are... gay or christian. but when their message is more important than the music, gay or christian or muslim or redneck or whatever they come up with - i just tend to shy away. i'm not into agendas.
