Christian music is today's version of the beginnings of the Roman Catholic Church.
Religious leadership determines what is "appropriate art," sacrificing the truth on the altar of doctrine.
Church members today (especially youth) are made to feel guilty for listening to anything but CCM. Musically speaking, most of it is a version of what was popular on MTV 2 years ago. As a whole, CCM is constantly playing catchup.
There are a few bright spots, but for the most part it's very boring and predictable.
