oh he'll be back...phelps that is ..he is only 19...he will spend the next few yrs training harder than ever...will probably suffer the agony of his girlfriend breaking his heart....his dad dying before he can see his son win the olympic gold.....fuck it he will probably loose a limb or two and learn all over again with prosthetic limbs and proving that he can swim like a normal man......
and the the next olympics will come around and he will win 10 golds!!
and the following fall will see the release of a certain movie which would be "Based on a True Story" and adjectives like "Inspiring" "Will Make you laugh and Cry" "Heartwarming" Two Prosthetic Limbs Up" "True American Hero" etc etc....will be used to advertise it
it will come around Thanksgiving....kids will want to swim again......Mcdonalds will have a Phelps Doll (with detachable limbs)and it will make us all warm and fuzzy and bring a tear in our designer cynical eye.
in short don't write him off...he will be back. :)
