Anderson and his team's dedication and passion for AVP moved me and I was inspired to write a sequel. Here is my story so far:
When we left the first film Anderson and his team had done a terrific (obviously!) job of setting up two stories (plot points if you will) for a sequel. The first was the undertones of a budding romance between Lexx and the lone young predator and the second was the birth of the hybrid species (referred to in my screenplay as a Predator/Alien). My proposed sequel continues both storylines. Here’s my idea, in a facehugger-shell (sorry, alittle bit of AVP humor):
Lexx gives birth to a hybrid human/predator species (referred to in my screenplay as a Human/Predator). Since they are never shown having relations in the first film we can just film a new scene and throw it in as a flashback. Audiences love when you go back and change previous storylines anyway... Meanwhile the Predator/Alien has taken over the ship and vowed revenge on the woman it believes killed its father (that’s Lexx). Since it was born as a Predator/Alien it has an in depth knowledge of both species, it turns the ship around back toward Earth, suits up and prepares to hunt. Meanwhile the Human/Predator, growing up at an alarming rate, deals with the pressures of becoming a teenager: school, homework, girls, etc. Stressed out and angry he and his mother fight constantly, he spends most of the time in his room listening to music and watching surfing videos. Lexx, used to a life with no attachments and self made rules, finds the switch to motherhood difficult. She tries to balance parenting her Human/Predator child and at the same time run a household. We can see the relationship begin to fumble a bit. As the Predator/Alien lands on Earth beginning the hunt, the Human/Predator runs away from home, leaving Lexx alone and worried sick. Adventures and mishaps ensue untill eventually the Preadator/Alien finds Lexx and just before it attacks the human/predator returns. They begin a battle, not just for the fate of Lexx but for the fate of the world.
I have more but I don’t want to ruin the ending for everyone. Try to think of a mixture of AVP, Mask (the one with Cher not jim carrey), Blue Crush and 13 going on 30 to get an idea of where im heading with this film. I hope you like it, please comment.
P.S. Im thinking of a title like "Alien vs Predator 2: Xtreme Blood" or something like that because i know a movie sells better when it has "Xtreme" in the title.
