    Yeah - I spent a lot of time in Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale.

    It's a slightly different vibe than what you might be used to. As Dablammit said - it's much more corporate than NY or London but usually these are small to mid-size companies. The pace is a little slower and it's cheap. Culture wise, it's nowhere near as diverse as LA or NYC but there are pockets of it all over. You just have to find them.

    You'll also need a car but outside of Miami, you can live VERY well on even a modest salary. If you're looking at Miami, most companies will push for bi-lingual status (Spanish/English) especially if you're doing anything with advertising and South-east Florida can get pricey especially if you're looking for the serious nightlife.

    Keep in mind though - Orlando is cool but it's quite far from the ocean and Miami does have some pretty rough areas.

    Otherwise - I'd say take a trip down there if you haven't already, rent a car and check it out.
