    here's the latest....

    it's been crazy busy here...
    and we've been bought and merged so many times, there's no room on my ass left for branding..
    ;)

    started out as montage, then Montage-eIntegration, then montage-dmc, then AT&T Canada, then Allstream, now MTS Allstream..

    yikes...

    all through that, i managed to avoid the usual rounds of layoffs....
    right up till now anyhow....

    yep...been layed off..
    couldn't be happier..

    this place ceased to be fun a LOOOOONG time ago..

    out of the original team i joined back in 1999 of about close to 80, there are around 5 or 6 of us left..
    aint that pathetic...
    so, it's not like i feel as though i'm leaving lots of friends and a great job...

    i've been offered a contract here, which is nice, and there looks to be a fair bit of work they'll farm out to me afterwards, and an old boss of mine has been feeding me tons of freelance, and wants to bring me back on fulltime in the fall, so all in all, my life is about to be fun again....

    whew...

    also of note, my daughter is now 1 years old, and cute as a button, and my wife is about to go back to teaching (been off for a year on Maternity leave)

    i wrote most of this in an email to Bio the other day, but not sure if he got it, so i'm just dropping it here...for him, Piper and any of the other old NT crowd...you know who you are
