since you claim that one should not seek for inspiration, why do we study the masters, ancient archtecture, etc etc?
unless you live in a jungle with no modern or other man made creations, everthing is made from a design.
pencil is a design. pencils dont grow on trees.
everything is made from design so how can you NOT get inspired?
the thing is that rather you are seeking inspiration intentionaly or not, the inspiration comes from something that has been created by someone else.
