see the original halo down the bottom left? and the type...
personally id work with just those elements. id develop the type to be more considered [probably a similar font to be honest at fisrt, but try out others, serifs wouldnt be TOO bad, considering 'saints' go way back]
and then the halo shape too, maybe its nearly there, maybe its not. try it out, consider the options, choose what works, combine them together, look at what youve done critically and keep doing it till you think youre pleased.. it doesnt have to take forever to do, but you will prob have to take a while to belive youve come up with the right soloution. [at that time anyway]
