  2000 is great, xp looks girly, but it comes with features that are pretty cool(though im sure they're somehow available with extentions.)

  for instance if you have a huge folder of downloads say of mp3s and you want to arrange them according to albums, you just the "sort in groups" option and bang, they're all sorted according to albums! you have no idea how excellent this is. also with the "sort in groups option" if you sort according to date modified, it divides stuff by the days, weeks, and month in a very clear and concise manner.
