    All of which are being grossly distorted and misrepresented by the Reps and Bush.

    Ex 1: Kerry is accused of in 1985 or 1995 proposing to cut $1.6 billion in CIA spending.
    Bush's camp is using this to say "Kerry wanted to cut funding to the organization that seeks to investigate terrorists and protect the US."

    When, in reality, the same day Kerry introduced the bill (which was to trim spending on management aspects, I think) two Republicans proposed to cut around $4.6 billion over the next 5 years...

    AND IT PASSED!
