If you have doom 3 and want to bump up the graphics a bit. HERE'S A TRICK I just read:
Open “DoomConfig.cfg” file in C:\Program Files\Doom 3\base and play around with the number next to “image_cacheMegs”. This is how much RAM Doom 3 gets to use. I was able to turn on all the special effects and change from low to medium graphics...
