Ahhh Kona, when I lived in Africa, I was friends with this 72 year old man who grew up in Zaire/Belgian Congo/Congo-Kinshasa. he was a crazy bastard and his wife made me croissants every morning. Ahhhhhh I miss that sh*t! He constantly said, "merde" and drank orange flavoured beer all day. I did some geologic exploration with him, he mined in Congo and fought in WWII as a fighter pilot for Belgium, but also did some fighting against rebels trying to take down the Belgians in the Congo.
