you have to talk about God when you talk about this. it is a moral issue. (and yes it is an issue of where should the govt make laws and where should it butt out)
so that goes right to the heart of where does our morality come from? well? Where? Wherever you want? no, it comes from this thing called our conscience, which (and this is part of my faith/beliefs) is planted in us by our creator. this is why all of us have a sense of right from wrong.
