**Also, don't read if you haven't seen the movie!!**
The hardware, wood,glass and everything else came from "The Towns". They didn't grow from that area they were living. Everyone knew they had come from "The Towns". More than likely they had made trips back to "The Towns" in the past to gather supplies. An elder likely made that trip.
They didn't want planes flying over because everyone would see these houses and stuff in the middle of this huge forest area. Then people would get curious.
I guarantee that 90% of the audience that I saw the movie with didn't get the movie one bit. They didn't pick up on the name on the side of the Jeep or on the guys hat. They also probably didn't pick up on the reason for sending the blind girl. I'll let you marinate on that one.
For anyone who calls this movie predictable or flat, I'm calling bulls**t.
For anyone who says that Shyamalan's got a gimmick going and that he should stop making movies with imaginative endings, then its obvious you should've spent your money on Catwoman.
