I don't believe that originality does not create money. There are trend starters and trend followers.
Nivana made plenty of money
So did Micheal Jakcson who basically created the video that is played out with all the dancing. White Stripes are making money, the Beasties made money, ...etc.
Videos do not need to be t5he same. Especially hip hop videos. Who do remember more, Missy Elliot videos or a Sir Mix Alot video. There is room for originality it's just a matter of artists embrancing it.
