I see it like this:
The war in Iraq, and the threat of terrorism exists, bottom line. It's not going away. Duh, we need a President who will be forceful about it, and obviously Kerry isn't going to go in and say "All troops out of Iraq."
It's a big problem that's going to be around no matter if Bush is reelected or if Kerry is elected and serves for 8 years and then Edwards is president for 8 years. What I want to hear them talking about are the issues right here within our borders. I'm sick of overseas outsourcing, and tax breaks to the wealthy, and big corporations for sending jobs overseas.
That is all nonsense and does nothing to aid in the right of every American to pursue the ideals set forth when the country was born.
Obama talked about it in his speech. Edwards talked about it last night. I want to see Kerry make a steadfast declaration that he is going to reverse all the crap that Bush set in motion for the greater good of this country WITHIN OUR BORDER.
We have the opportunity to excel at everything, develop technologies that help us move away from depending on oil, do things to protect the environment, etc, etc, etc and BUSH TALKS ABOUT NONE OF THAT. He just keeps eroding the ground we stand on.Is it too much to hope that Kerry will smash those things to bits and do some good?
