    I'm afraid democracy doesn't work like that. Not using tactical voting almost allowed the ultra-right nationalists into power in France.

    Nader polarises the liberal vote. Liberal America has to converge at the centre if they are to stand any chance in ousting Bush. That's thereality. If the far-left was the most potent poitical force in America, then the right would be converging on the centre to stop the socialists/communists. But it isn't, and they're not. There's only one way to stop the "right", the neo-cons and the crazies - and that is to create a "Popular Front" type thing of the centre, centre-left, and left parties. The Democrats are the only ones with the kinda clout to make this happen.

    Yeah it sucks, but thats the way it is.
