don't be an idiot. Do you know how many places I've seen that reccomended? And you don't do it for the life of the cat, just until it breaks them of it.
Also, spraying them in the face with a water bottle and hollaring NO!!!! when they do scratch works well too.
Plus, even though they are sweet lil' things, it's awewome watching them react to water in the face.
