i was avid ashtray user here in la, but my friend threw a cigarette out the window, i got pulled over. His ticket was $300 even, after much pleading, he did monthly payments. The cop gave me a speeding ticket at the same time for going 6 over (71 on the 101, limit 65) just to be an ass. I doubt you'll get your ticket any lower than that, my friend has been living independantly since he was 15 and gets mediCAL and everything. good luck.
