man, 4 years ago i was almost broke on my arse and decided instead of paying 800+ a month on an apt i'd buy a house instead. 4 years later i'm selling and all my money troubles (what little is left of them) are soon to be LONG gone.
if you can afford rent trust me you can buy a place. you'll thank youself in the end once you do.
