Strabley,
I was in this situation last year when my gf and I broke up. She was only going to school about an hour and a half away as well. However, despite my best efforts it all fell through in the end. I put myself through a whole year of misery and all I got was a lousy t-shirt (well not exactly). I regret trying so hard, especially with all the fun I'm having now being single. I would just let things go and (I know this sounds dumb) if it was meant to be it will be.....
