In regards to Hawking's intellect, Mother Nature doesn't give a rat's ass to whom she gives out smartz to. I've taught African kids in the middle-of-nowhere that picked up Algebra and Physical Science quicker than any whities I've met in the States. It all depends on how that initial intellect is nurtured.
