People have mentioned his childhood traumas as contributing to the weird factor... but imagine this:
Ever since childhood - you are treated like Jesus everywhere you go. You are unable to leave your house unprotected for fear of being surrounded by mobs of screaming fanatics & photographers.
People follow you across continents and camp outside your hotel rooms. Your mere presence may cause these people to faint, weep, scream, collapse, etc.
He's not the only one who needs psychological help.
