cheers Stewart.. but i think since my target audience for the site is purely for online designers and people in new media I don't think there is a real need to support IE 5.0 as the percentage of people in this field won't have such an old browser..... but a browser detention page is on my list of things to do!!
the navigation is staying at the top on purpose... i did develop a floating menu but had to many cross browser compatability problems.... (not sure if you new but your floating menu does not work in netscape and opera)
