wow...was the lady old? don't they give driver's licenses which are valid for like 15 years there?
DON'T settle for 10k - that is insanity. my b/f is an attorney specializing in just such instances, and he helps people who have to live with severe neurological injuries for decades. if you have such an injury, settling for 10k now means you forfeit any chance of getting financial help later, when your bills escalate due to surgery.
some people were productive professionals who can no longer shave or go to the bathroom on their own, and end up losing everything they own because they settled for peanuts, not knowing their injuries were dormant.
