basically what i did is got a photo. traced the outline of the building to create a solid form of the building.I took that solid form into photoshop (being in illustrator before hand,) droped it on the photo of the building. i deleted the background (that way i didn't have retrace the building), then took what was left of the building, added some threshold, cleaned up edges then streamlined it. after streamline, i opened in illustrator, tweeked what needed to be tweeked, placed it on top of the solid outline of the building that i created before.
rather a long process, but pretty simple.
