i had a similar problem when i bought my first dual g4/450..
when i got it, there were 2 loose plastic "hook thingies" clanken around so i took them out.. a few months later it occurred to me what they were.. they are part of the latching mechanism that keeps the case shit. i looked in and saw another was broken off, and one had been super glued over where am original one had broken off. shortly thereafter my case would no longer stay shut.
now i have a carabeener (sp?) clipped onto the pullback tab thing in the back to keep it shut.
all but forgot about it till now.called apple..
"we warantee our hardware, not our cases, youre SOL"..sigh..
