It's hard to not get angry with the locals here. I've seen drivers intentionally hit dogs. It's quite common to throw acid on dogs or light them on fire.
I've traveled around asia and in many places people are struggling to keep themselves alive. Animals are there last concern. That's fine. But there is no excuse here in Taiwan.
