i don't do a lot of gambling, but it's hard to not walk by a slot machine at least once a day. We have them in everything; grocery stores, 7-F-ing-11, the airport, etc. major chain places (stores and restaurants) can get by without them, but according to local bar owners i know, they make their rent and payroll by all the money that gets dumped in them which is why there are often specials like "dime drafts until the well runs dry" or 'free drinks from 10-midnight". I will play if i have out of town guests who want to do a little or if a new themed machine comes out that i want to try. Last one i did that with was Young Frankenstein (well done, btw). so less than 5 times a year. Or also if i go to a restaurant in a casino and am waiting for a table,, i'll throw a couple nickels when the cocktail waitress comes by because drinks are free if you're gambling. Roll of nickels can be your friend. Also, we have no state tax thanks to gambling. :)
