well, heck, someone had a novel idea up top, 'no more macs, no more pcs' makes me pose the question...why computers politicized? My answer is that, like most subjects in US especially, until they are 'marketed' (what is being marketed is an analytical engine, a thinking machine...actually also an abstract concept, a function of the human mind since prehistory_).......why are we not teaching the mechanics of building and programming computers at an early age in schools....why are we simply endorsing products? a basic question
