Though I was extremely hesitant to enter into such a hateful and volatile thread... I'd just like offer a friendly bit of info: Neither Falwell, nor any other "Christian Leader" represent Biblical Christianity (though they may claim to). Unlike Catholicism, for instance, which teaches that there are human mediators between God and man, the Bible teaches that there is only one mediator or "representative" - Christ himself. Also, the Bible makes it clear that Christianity stands in contrast to world religions because it is a relationship with a living savior that is not earned via performance or behavior.
The Crusaders and other purveyors of atrocities, did not represent Biblical Christianity.
