Back in the day I had a 400sq ft studio apartment in downtown Seattle. I had a perfect view of the backside of the skyline. Buildings a stones throw away and the water behind them. I LOVED that apartment. It was home. It was comfortable. The windows were big enough for me to stretch a leg out on and I crank my tunes and watch the "going home" traffic get in near collisions outside my window. Not to mention it was a mere 3 block walk to work. Can't beat that!
