it's when u say things about Islam is out to kill jews and chrtisians and how u say "believe me.. i understand islam" and all u can come out with is Jihad. Cos u really dont know what u're talking about there... honestly... and it scares me, cos when people talk about Islam, especially in the states.. they talk about Arabs. They dont grant Islam the diversification they grant to Christians. They treat it as this one giant bloc.
I was brought up as a Muslim, but the roots my parents had were a mystical Suffist Islam. That wasn't about Jihad at all. In fact, i didn't even know what Jihad was until i was a teenager.. and that was at school! I was told peace. The direct translation of the word Islam, is peace. I was never taught hate. The ONLY aspect of the religion i was taught, was respect for ur parents, modesty, decency, treating other people with respect, and all sorts of weird crap that was meant to keep me in line - like not drinking. like what the fuck is that?... yeah anyway, thats all i knew of the religion and didn't like it. Social, dogmatic control....
But then there are those groups of Muslims who read something else and are obsessed with other parts. But the way u people (yeah i'm generalising) its a bullshit racial way, and u dont even know it. It's about "oh the whole Middle East is corrupt and fucked up, and all Arabs are extremist.. obviously ! cos they're religion tells them to kill Americans!". That's bollocks, and the arguments aagainst Islam are used in an explicity racial way to effect American, mainly, involvement in regions of the world as "liberators" - lets clean up this mess cos they're all brainwashed by extremist.
