I met Peter Max this weekend. He was at the mall, walking by, and sat at the table next to my wife and I, in the food court. He had an entourage with him, off getting him coffee. So, I went up to him and shook his hand and had a quick conversation with him. That was pretty neat. I'm not a big fan of his work, but I admire him as an artist, who makes a good living doing something he loves and who is pretty damn good at it.
