if you work for Sony, Culver City is a decent place to live.
but seriously, EVERYWHERE there is a commute. It might be worth it to look into Long Beach, where I live, and just drive. It feels a little less crowded, a little less competetive and a lot less fake.
long beach is pretty central to both LA and Orange County... bout 20 minutes each way.
