if your snappy at learning programs, perhaps a book and net tutes are fine.
though a short course- BAM it will throw you right into the program pretty quick.
how bout just get a friend to show you the ropes?
yeah, I'd say a friend is the best way- cos its pretty easy to learn AE basics, its just god damn time consuming (and brain busting) to create decent work.
btw- a looping dvd would be a very effective and cheap way to get your plasma screens nice and shiney with your work.
