Flash is fine if it's really simple and you don't want to put much effort in (not that AE is hard, it just can take a while if you are doing interesting things, but you couldn't do them in Flash anyway, confusing?)
AE if you want to design without limits. Really, anything you can imagine can be made to move in AE. It's really an awesome program, but because it is so limitless it can take a long time.
Go with AE, it'll look more professional.
