Greedo is right about the remembering bit, or similarly have a tape recorder handy.
For some reason I have many dreams like Jazx said, almost nightmarish but really negative. I have dreams where I am shot, or must kill someone, or the world is ending. I almost never dream about happy things.
I also have these incredibly vivid dreams of places my mind fabricates and I remember them really well. The hidden sunny field surrounded by shadey trees. The multi-story gothic church in disrepair. An enormous indoor pool with dim sunlight on it.
The weirdest dreams I've had are a) Ones that later become a deja vu in real life. Those are very odd because you'll be doing something and BAM you feel like you're dreaming or done it before.
b) I once woke up, and there is a certain level of conciousness where you become self-aware again. But the only thing I could see for a couple seconds was what appeared to be my body asleep in bed from a view from the ceiling.
