not too ideal:
Their CD players STILL can read CD-TEXT or MP3s.
Specifically, the problems with the new adapter are:
1) It doesn't work with most BMW head units since nearly everyone has an upgraded stereo and/or NAV and/or a CD changer and/or Sat radio. The adapter only works with the entry level unit. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
2) The unit fits in the glove box. The Z4 Roadster has no locking glovebox. Not really all the convenient.
3) The read out on the head unit is "Tr 01," "Tr 02," etc, and not the track title with band info that the iPod gives out. The BMW head units can't handle this kind of info.
----I am a fan of Apple and the ipod but this is a dumb marketing ploy- the Volkswagon holder made more sense.
