I am not a purist per say- I just never bothered to learn all the Dreamweaver tricks. It would take me longer to figure out what I wnat to do in Dreamweaver than to just write it out. I like knowing things are working (or not working) because I wrote it that way.
Most that I know that use Dreamweaver exclusively have no idea what the code means
