    What are you talking about?!!

    IDE 133 runs at 133 megabytes/ps

    SATA runs at 150 megabytes/ps

    Firewire runs at 400 megaBITS/PS

Firewire 800 runs at 800 megaBITS / ps

If firewire was faster than internal buses then we wouldn't have internal disks.

A byte is comprised of 8 bits. Therefore, if you multiply 8 by the throughput measured in megabytes then you can compare all of these equally.

    Also:
the notation for megabytes is always supposed to be "MB"
    and megabits is always "Mb"
