I've been thinking about bailing from America though I'm not sure if that is the best thing to do.
I gotta say that Politics are so F-ed up here. Bush stole the election. He should not even be in office and look what he's done to the world in less than 4 years! And yet most americans STILL talk about clinton's blow job and think bush is great! So messed up.
So many things this country is doing that I personally do not stand for. Sometimes I feel there is no way I can help change the situation.
The only thing that I try and do is contribute in whatever way that I can... i.e. if I disagree with someone, I go out and design bumper stickers, websites, t-shirts etc.. to try and spread the word. It is us, the designers, who have the power. We can influence, change, make, or break people. Not many know what kind of influence we have.
So I encourage you to do what little you can to help your corner of the world. Focus your skills, or what little time you have at the end of the day to do something simple. If enough of us come together, the world is bound to change through art, music and the moving image.
