The Joshua Tree is strongly rooted in my high school memories. More so than almost any other record. Strange thing is that I was a little skate punk and listened almost exclusively to death metal, thrash and punk at that time.
Every time my friends and I would skip school and scout out new skate areas around Austin, we'd ritualistically listen to "Running to Stand Still" and sing it together at the top of our lungs. Amazing times. The best memories.
