there's a dish in the philippines called "kare kare" (actually, that's what my sister and i call it, i'm sure it's slightly off). Anyway, to the best of my knowledge, there are two main ways of making this stuff. It's basically a peanut butter-based stew/soup with either tripe or ox tails as the meat. My mother never made the ox tails version, maybe if she had, this shit wouldn't gross me out so much.
