...loved the bit where NYC was getting flooded, with the huge waves - just flawless, and the huge great tornados over LA were great, too - I was totally into it at that point.
If they dropped the schmultziness with the cute girl and the whole family thing, it would have been a better length, but then it wouldnt have been as popular with the mass audience, and so the fx wouldnt have been as lavish.
Overall, I enjoyed it...and also saw the trailer for I, Robot, which looks great..
