    Critique, interpretation, and iteration is fundamental to art theory and practice, whether you want to acknowledge it or not as an artist.

    We have no control over our images once we release them into the public view, interpretation by the viewer is what gives them life, IMO.

    I love it when people see things I haven't thought about, my ideas about what I create are no less valid than those interpreting it.

    I think designers are sometimes apolitical because we are imagemakers that aren't paid to think about the overall social implications of a product we are there to make the product message saleable.

    I remember agency.com doing the monsanto site and the happy smiling faces of the African families that could now buy seeds instead of harvesting them glowed out over the earth-toned award winnning website.

    This was shortly after the giant chemical explosion in Texas at one of their factories.

    I'm glad it's an attention getter, maybe it will inspire a thousand mimics who will use their own funds to print a poster and illegally post it in their hometown. The cost of the posters was probably at least as much as a new iPod.
