thinking: celebration celibacy.
today i gave in and did it. i set my wrist watch to match the time displayed on the clock of my office. the dictator as we know him. i finished winding the long hand backwards, pushed back the dial and gave it a twist. done and done. but a sudden moment of realization struck as those 4 hard earned minutes were wiped from history... if our time is relative to one full revolution of earth - with my watch's time set to my clock at work - the earth now revolves around my job. the facts are indisputable. today is a sad day.
in other news the sharks and the kings both got booted from the playoffs. i am behind on 4 different projects and working late. my mother has to move temporarily and miss my sister's wedding because SBC decided to strike just this weekend. My favorite plant is suffering from insects and mold. Tony Randall is dead. London is burning. I'm slightly hungry. I haven't a snack to eat.
