although 'Indian curry' isn't (or shouldn't be) orange...
unless it's from a take away... but then (usually) that's not 'Indian curry'... it's usually (here at least) 'English curry'... which contains lovely colourful chemicals... similar to the dye mentioned above...
so i gues you're right... it is an alternative..!
