if you add a hundred or moreso dollars you could buy new - i agree.
if you are buying new, buy a DJ magazine (with loadsa shop ads in there) and play the shops off against each other for prices. - you'll end up with a bargain!!see if your friend will lower the price - esecially if you get quotes round about that frmo shops for NEW decks.
i can understand your friend wanting to get as much as he can for them - cos he probably paid a lot for them - but thats what happens with any equiptment/products - as soon as you buy it, it drastically decreases in worth.
I was looking for a new digital camera and was gonna trade in my old one (£250 new) - the guy at the shop looked up his little price book and says i'd get £40 for it.
I'd rather hang on to it than sell it for that price!! cos its worth more to ME than that.
