My personal preference is to always get new ones. You know where it has been and all the dings and bangs on it are your own ;)

And I know a new technic mk1200 is about $700USD each, but I got mine at a good sale at guitar center for a little over $500USD each 3 years ago.

But those use technics should be fine too. Technics are as touch as nails, unless you spill something on it.

I would go test it out, make sure the drive is fine on it. Cosmetic dings are nothing.

Overall, it's just a matter of personal preference, wheter you want a new one or used one with minor injuries.

Put it this way, you'll praticallly be getting that mixer for free.
